Official Supporters Club of Real Madrid from Tamil Nadu
Peña Madridista de Madras is Tamil Nadu’s first official Real Madrid supporters’ club, uniting passionate Madridistas from Tamil Nadu and beyond. Founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and officially recognized by Real Madrid in 2021, our community has grown to include supporters from across India and around the world.
We’re more than just football fans—we organize match screenings, social events, and charity initiatives, creating a space where Real Madrid supporters can connect, celebrate, and give back. Officially registered with the Tamil Nadu government, our peña is committed to spreading the spirit of Madridismo far and wide.
Our Story
It all started with a shared love for Real Madrid. Back in 2014, A small group of Madridistas in Chennai connected through a WhatsApp group, discussing matches and planning occasional screenings. But it wasn’t until the COVID-19 lockdown in June 2020 that the idea of becoming an official peña truly took shape. With football bringing hope during uncertain times, we decided to take the next step. Our dedication paid off when, on January 22, 2021, Peña Madridista de Madras was officially recognized by Real Madrid. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we managed to organize two screenings in September and October 2021, navigating restrictions to keep the spirit alive.
As a community, we also gave back, contributing to the Chief Minister’s COVID fund during the pandemic.
Since then, we have grown beyond Chennai, connecting Madridistas not just in Tamil Nadu but across Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Australia, England, Saudi Arabia and UAE. We’ve helped our members integrate with local Madridista communities worldwide, strengthening our global family.
While we are still shaping our traditions, our goal is clear—to build a wholesome community of Madridistas who support both the club and each other. Whether through screenings, meetups, or future initiatives, we want to create a home for every Madridista in our region and beyond.
